Making Holes Through Walls for Water Pipes and Cables

If you need to make a hole through a wall and it is of block construction and you don't have suitable drill, you can easily make it using a piece of pipe and a hammer.

Just cut or file some teeth into the end of the pipe and using light blows with the hammer, turning the pipe with each blow, it will cut its way though the block, the brick waste will go up the pipe.
